Professional dubbing course

Get a thorough introduction to working with dubbing over five days.

During the course, you'll get hands-on experience in front of the microphone and the opportunity to test yourself in the different genres you'll typically be exposed to in a professional studio session. This could be productions such as cartoons for children, crazy voices, live-action dubbing or cinema acting.

Along the way, you'll also benefit from watching other participants receive instruction and coaching from the instructor and studio technician.

The course also covers the theory behind dubbing, as well as the tools in a dubber's toolbox and the different voices. The course ends with each participant recording a voice sample that can be used as a business card in the industry.

Price, time and location

The price is DKK 1200 for members of Dansk Artist Forbund and DKK 3200 for non-members.

The course takes place from 10 to 14 November from 9:30 - 12:30 in a professional dubbing studio Dortheavej 4 in Copenhagen.

Participant prerequisites

You do not need to be a trained or working actor to be considered for this course, but some acting experience from film, commercials, theatre etc. is necessary. The class will be organised by experience and gender to accommodate voice types.

The course is run by three experienced instructors: Sonny Lahey, Vibeke Dueholm eller Sara Ekander Poulsenwho instructs the course together with a technician.  

We can't guarantee one or the other, but they are all Iyuno's most experienced directors and make cinema and high profile films & series on a daily basis.
