Artists and bands wanted! Play school concerts in 2027/28

Would you like to take your music out to children and young people at schools across the country?
Live Music in Schools, LMS, has opened applications for the 2027/28 concert season and is looking for professional musicians and ensembles for next season's school concert tours. The application deadline is 15 October at 12:00 pm.

LMS is looking for professional musicians and ensembles across genres, genders and ages. The selected musicians will go on a school concert tour and be given the opportunity to present their music to children and young people who do not necessarily encounter the same musical expressions elsewhere.

The rock band Forever Still have played school concerts through LMS for seven years and return season after season. The band say that the school concerts give them the opportunity to be the musical role models for children and young people that they themselves missed when they were at school. The band have met a completely different audience and the concert format has been both educational and rewarding.

Fixed fees and tour terms
As an artist on an LMS tour, you are covered by a collective agreement with fixed fees and touring conditions. LMS also takes care of a large part of the planning and logistics surrounding the school concerts, and there is the opportunity for professional sparring regarding the format and content of the concert.

LMS recommends that you start the application in good time. The application requires, among other things, a presentation as well as audio and visual material, and there are changes to the application system this year.
