The employment of our own lawyer means a significant strengthening of the efforts for musicians' rights.

With extensive and specialised knowledge in the field of rights, Trine Kaae Jorst is the right person to strengthen music artists in Performex's business areas, says chairperson of Performex, Sara Indrio.

”The music market is changing rapidly, and it has become even harder for artists to keep track of the use and misuse of their rights, but also to think ahead and be mindful when it comes to the commercialisation of their works, and their position in the market as an artist. We are therefore happy to have brought on board a sharp legal expert in Trine.”

Trine Kaae Jorst is the 100-metre champion of rights work, including the agreements and positions necessary for music artists to be paid when their performances are utilised.

“We have switched administration to Gramex over the past six months and see a lot of potential in it. When we also bring a capacity like Trine Jorst into the Performex work, it is an overall step up for Performex,” says Sara Indrio.

Performex is the only pure artist management organisation in Denmark in the field of music rights. Performex is owned by the union of music performers and managed in cooperation between the Danish Musicians' Union and the Danish Artists' Union. As Chief Legal Officer, Trine Kaae Jorst will work with the rights that artists and musicians share.

Trine Kaae Joorst has previously worked at Create Denmark and will now become part of Performex's administration, which is currently located at the Danish Artist Association in Christianshavn, the Danish Musicians’ Association in Sankt Hans Torv, and at Gramex in Gammel Kongevej.
