The new board is ready to get to work for the artists.

Thanks to everyone who attended this year's general meeting. There was support for the board's proposal to adjust Articles of associationtern, and new forces were voted onto the board. The day concluded with honours for Hilda and Keld Heick.

New forces have entered fCircuitandits board, and Sara Indrio was re-elected as chair of the Danish Artists' Union. Here's a brief overview of this year's general meeting.

At the general meeting, we bid farewell to Gry Lambertsen, who since 2010 has contributed to the board's work with great knowledge of circus, performing arts, and the working environment of artists. On behalf of all colleagues, Sara Indrio thanked her for her many years of effort in strengthening the conditions for Danish artists.

However, strong circus-related forces still remain represented on the board. Sunniva Byvard was elected and will contribute to the board with her extensive knowledge of circus and performing arts, as well as her own experience in the field.

Peter Nørgaard, Marianne Lewandowski and Troels Skjærbæk were re-elected to their board positions, while Markus Artved was re-elected as a substitute.

Marina Botes and Claus Rydskov were appointed as critical auditors.

Hilda and Keld Heick appointed honorary members

The general meeting was followed by a festive reception, where Hilda and Keld Heick were appointed honorary members of the Danish Artists' Union.

The appointment is a recognition of their long-standing membership of the professional community and their great importance to Danish music and artist life. Their work is a clear example of how a long artistic life is built on both the community with the audience and the professional community behind the scenes.

At the reception, Keld Heick also received the Thøger Olesen Prize, which is awarded by the Danish Artists' Union.

In the coming week, we will delve deeper into Hilda and Keld Heick's work for the community – both the professional community in the Danish Artist Union and the musical community they have created with each other and with their audience over many years.
