Danish rights holders - including the Danish Artist Association - support the European campaign "Stay true to the Act, Stay true to culture" and calls on the Danish EU Presidency to ensure that the AI regulation called the 'AI Act' is translated into transparency requirements that give rights holders real insight into the use of their works.

The Rights Alliance, of which the Danish Artists' Union is a member, encourages all rights holders, members and organisations to join the initiative. By doing so, they draw the EU Presidency's attention to the challenges of ensuring that the AI Regulation provides real opportunities for exercising and enforcing copyright.

Transparency consent and payment

Rights holders are concerned that the regulation, which aims to promote the development of AI while protecting the creative industry, will be implemented with such low standards that in practice it will not fulfil the regulation's objectives of transparency, agreements and consent, and payment.

You can read more on the Rights Alliance's Home page. You can also support the campaign by liking and sharing posts on LinkedIn and Instagram under the campaign headline: "Stay true to the act - stay true to culture. EU AI regulation must ensure transparency, consent and protection"

What is the AI Act?

An EU law to regulate artificial intelligence.

The law aims to ensure that artificial intelligence systems do not violate rights such as privacy, non-discrimination and freedom of expression.

The AI Act aims to ensure uniform regulation in all EU countries.

The AI Regulation, which will regulate the responsible use of artificial intelligence in Europe, is the first legislation in the world in this area.
