Free membership and safety net for newly qualified artists and musicians
Perhaps you already have a job or are looking forward to a busy summer with contracts to be reviewed by our legal department. Perhaps you are unemployed and working on your artist project, where you could benefit from our career coaching services.
At the Danish Artists' Union, we are accustomed to answering the questions that may arise when you are newly qualified. Together, we will find the opportunities and offers that may be relevant for you, at your current stage in your career.
If you sign up no later than two weeks after your final exam, you can get three months of free membership with the Danish Artists' Union, which means direct access to affordable insurance, member courses, and free legal advice.
You also receive free membership to the association's unemployment insurance fund department. Here you secure the special right to unemployment benefits, which recent graduates can have if they become unemployed after their education. For most newly graduated artists and musicians, this means that you may receive unemployment benefits one month after your education has been completed, if you are unemployed.
Remember the deadline for registering with the unemployment insurance fund.
To be eligible for unemployment benefits as a newly qualified graduate, you must join a trade union fund no later than two weeks after your final exam date.
Join the Artists' unemployment insurance fund department under AJKS and get a financial safety net during the transition from education to working life.
