Candidates for the board

At the general meeting, there are elections for four board positions and one substitute position. The candidates are:

Sunniva Byvard
Board candidate

Circus performer and circus choreographer. Trained at the University of the Arts in Stockholm with a bachelor's degree in contemporary circus. Has toured in Denmark and abroad and has developed contemporary circus performances, including in collaboration with the Royal Danish Theatre – most recently in the performance Ragnarok.

“I see it as an important and natural part of my work to engage in the collective effort for the living arts. We are stronger as a field when we share knowledge, organise ourselves, and support the political and structural changes that none of us can achieve alone.
At the same time, I have a natural interest in the ecosystem of contemporary circus, where I work myself at the intersection of employee and employer, with a burning desire to strengthen the genre's visibility, recognition, and opportunities to be actively used as part of the established performing arts.’

Markus Artved
Candidate for the board of directors – has been a substitute member for 2 years.

Composer, producer, musician, and songwriter in both own and others' projects. Trained at the Danish National School of Performing Arts and works a lot with music for theatre, and has written and produced music for a wide range of Danish and international artists and performances.

“There are particularly three areas I would like to work on in the coming period: Better conditions and professionalisation of the music industry – clear rules, proper protection, and fair compensation for exploitation through AI – and fair payment for streaming music.” Read all of Markus' motivation here

Peter Nørgaard
Board candidate – re-nomination

Ventriloquist, musical performer and CEO of the production company SHOWAGENT. Has worked with performing arts for several decades, touching upon magic, circus and musicals, among other things. Today, he is a successful ventriloquist who performs both nationally and internationally.

Musician and a graduate of the Royal Danish Academy of Music. Works as a musical artist for a number of Danish and international artists, as well as with her own projects and teaching. She has also started and manages the Facebook page “Musicians in Denmark” on a daily basis.
