Apply for a week's stay by the North Sea

Together with several other artist organisations, the Danish Artists' Association has eight weeks in Lille Skiveren. The house is Jens Otto Krag's old home close to the small town of Skiveren, which lies behind the dunes at Tannis Bay in Skagerak and belongs to Frederikshavn Municipality. Lille Skiveren underwent a major renovation in 2010 and is both beautiful and cosy.

The weeks change from year to year and are offered to members upon application.

In-house facilities

The house is large and the unique location is close to the water. The house comes with 18 acres of land with views of nature from all the windows of the house.

Lille Skriveren has six single beds, one three-quarter bed and two sofa beds. In addition to the 12 permanent beds, there are four guest beds available. The house has two bathrooms, sauna, dining kitchen, living room with a fireplace, several terraces, piano (out of tune), a studio with a fireplace and a studio with a wood-burning stove. There is wireless network in the house, but no washing machine.

Stay in Skiveren

Dansk Artist Forbund has eight weeks in the house.

Stays are awarded on application and weeks are allocated based on when you last had a stay. In case of coinciding weeks, a draw is made.

The stay runs from Friday to Friday and costs DKK 2,500 per week, and the self-payment must be paid two months prior to the stay.
