With DKK 60 million, the Minister of Culture has kick-started work on a new performing arts reform. Artist spokesperson Sara Indrio is pleased that more resources will be allocated to the area:

"Denmark is rich in talented performing artists who are experts in dance, acting, circus and performance, and this is art that reaches out and brings together audiences from all corners of the country. We look forward to the work of rethinking the performing arts area and making sure that the boost that is now coming hits the right spot. We also have several concrete proposals for how circus genres with different types of expertise can play a greater role in the overall performing arts landscape and for society in general."

 Performing arts in the budget

Cultural life gets a boost in the budget proposal published by the government. With DKK 60 million per year, performing arts is among the larger items.
