Get your finances and tax accounts in order as an artist

As an artist, you have several options for how you manage your career financially.
For the event on 12 May, you can get an overview of which framework might best suit your work and your earnings.
Here you will meet the bookkeeper at the Danish Artists' Union, Charline Astrupgaard, and learn how you, as an artist, should deal with income, tax, VAT, and deductions.
You will receive a thorough introduction to, among other things:
– Differences in income as an employee, fee recipient and self-employed person
When is the best time to have your own company?
– What is important to know before starting your own company or partnership
– What it takes to gather income and activities in an association
– What can you deduct
– Do’s and Don’ts concerning VAT, accounting, and tax
Following this, there will be time for questions.
We'll be serving some snacks and cold drinks during the event.
The event is for all musical artists and performing artists, whether you earn income as an employee, a fee recipient, or self-employed.

In addition to being affiliated with the Danish Artists' Union, Charline Astrupgaard is a daily accountant at Bogholderiet APS, specialising in accounting and tax for musicians and other artists. She understands the complex finances that musicians, performers and other creative entrepreneurs have. Charline has extensive experience and is a well-respected advisor on how to arrange oneself within the creative industry.
