Peter Nørgaard resigns as deputy chairman of the Danish Artists' Union after criticism of AI-generated marketing

When magician and storyteller Peter Nørgaard recently had AI create marketing, the result was met with criticism. The digital tool published content with a top-five list of mentions and fabricated comparisons of Peter’s colleagues. The case has led to a collegial twist and the union’s board has asked Peter Nørgaard to resign from his position as deputy chairman.

At the end of September, artist and entertainer Peter Nørgaard came under criticism for the blog posts that were posted on his website.

The tutorials were created by AI and included constructed and comparative recommendations of entertainers for, among other things, round birthday parties and talk show appearances. The various guides were created by artificial intelligence without agreement with the parties involved.

Peter Nørgaard had not himself seen or checked the content that the AI bot had posted, he explained on September 28 on his website. Facebook.

The Danish Artists’ Union is not a party to the case and does not assist either of the parties in the case. The union’s board has been informed that the pages have been deleted and an agreement has been reached. However, it is still unclear to the board whether the dispute issue has been completely resolved, and therefore Peter Nørgaard cannot have the task of deputy chairman.

”There must be certainty and clarity regarding the elected politicians and those who hold a position of trust,” siger forperson Sara Indrio.

New deputy head on the way

The board of the Danish Artist Union thanks Peter Nørgaard for his efforts as deputy chairman and will convene as soon as possible.

According to the federation by-laws It is the board that chooses who will hold the position. The board will appoint a new deputy chairman within the next 14 days.
