Focus on exchange and networking
The aim is to give artists time and peace for deep engagement – but also to create encounters between artists, the local community, and businesses in Skagen.
A central part of the residency is dialogue and knowledge sharing. As a resident, you are expected to engage with the local environment, for example through artist talks, open studios, or participation in events.
The programme emphasizes that artists both contribute to and benefit from engagement with Skagen's nature, history, and artistic heritage, which stretches back to the renowned artist colony in the area.
