For both digital and physical releases, you need a barcode - also called EAN or UPC code. Each type of release must have its own unique barcode. This means that a digital and a physical album, for example, each have their own code.

As a member, you can receive barcodes on demand for your own releases.

Free code from digital distributor?

Some distributors provide you with a UPC code for free when you upload your works for digital publishing. In this case, you also have the option to provide a code from us if you prefer. Alternatively, you will need a separate barcode, if you need to make a physical release later or at the same time as the digital one.
